HOYTS BIRTHDAY PARTIES!
Welcome!
We now offer a birthday service that will make your child’s birthday a memorable one. Established with your child and their friends in mind, we have a fun way for you to celebrate your child's birthday.
What does a Hoyts Birthday includes:
- Feature Film
- ‘Behind the Scenes’ Tour
- A Birthday host
- Reserved Seating
- Food + Beverage (Movie Magic Party 2 only)

What types of packages can I book?
We offer two types of packages to ensure that all your needs are met. Both packages include all services listed above, but Movie Magic 2 allows parents to arrange candy treats for each child and adult attending at a discounted price.
Costs of each package are:
- Movie Magic 1: $11.00 per child
- Movie Magic 2: $16.00 per child
All attending adults will pay a discounted ticket rate. Due to safety regulations we must have one adult attend for every five children.
We understand the need to confirm details when planning a party, that’s why you can book your Hoyts Birthday Party up to 4 weeks in advance!
Parties are held on either a Saturday or Sunday, with a choice of 3 times on each day 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm. Simply enquire when making booking the film playing at your chosen session. All films showing are rated G or PG. All party groups must arrive 30 minutes prior to the film commencing allowing enough time for the tour and candy collection.
What is included in the candy combos?
When a party selects Movie Magic 2 as their option to celebrate a party with, you can then arrange pre-ordered candy combos. We offer 3 types of combos to cater to all needs.
Combos offered are:
- Combo One = Small Coke & Small Popcorn
- Combo Two = Keri Juice/Pump Water & Small Popcorn

BIRTHDAY EXTRAS:
- Birthday Party Rooms (Only available at Wairau Park, Sylvia Park & Riccarton)
- Ice Cream Birthday Cakes
These choices are only available when you book ‘Movie Magic 2’ for your special event. The Birthday Child receives a Complimentary Choc Top with ‘Movie Magic 2’.
